BMW-Powered Morgan EvaGT Launched

Morgan has announced the image gallery of its Eva GT Sports Coupe, which supplies four passengers although the two rear seats is likely to be well-designed for children. The design of the new model is rumored have taken inspiration from classic sports saloons of the early 1950s like the Bristol 400 generations or the Frazer Nash BMW 328.



More specifically, under the aluminum body, the EvaGT utilizes a revised edition of the Aero SuperSports model with a bonded aluminum chassis which meets the requirements of European and US safety regulations. Meanwhile, its rear-wheel drive EvaGT is powered by a BMW's 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine which can offer 306 horsepower and 400Nm / 295 lb-ft of torque and is attached to the six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox. One more thing, this EvaGT can speed up from 0 to 60mph (96km/h) in 4.5 seconds and obtain the top speed of 170mph or 273km/h with CO2 emissions of 200g/km.

Though the company Morgan has not yet announced the official prices for the EvaGT, fans of this special model will have a deposit of �5000 with the first 100 limited editions which will be on sale in mid 2012.
