Classic car reborn
Drive like you're not even born yet
Sometimes when us modern folk mess with 'old things', there's an almighty storm that follows. Admittedly, it's often for a genuine reason. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for example.
But in situations such as these, when the results are so damn amazing, it's pretty hard to get mad. Bo Zalland, of Swedish design company Visualtech, specialises in custom car design and likes to use contemporary elements to bring classic cars back to life.
The much-loved 1955 Ford T-Bird has been reconstructed by Zollard to resemble the old car yet possess the body and components of a 2009 Ford Mustang.
In other words, you get the best of both worlds. Unlike with a lot of vintage cars, you'd need not worry about any maintenance issues but you'd get to look enviably cool while behind the wheel.
So while your 50s lifestyle may annoy others (who may tire of your careless smoking and over-use of expressions like 'gee whizz'), you can at least pretend to be a young Don Draper with greater effect.
